Dentures

Yes, you read it right. Of course, our first step is always prevention, and we want to collaborate with you to preserve the long-term health of your teeth. But sometimes things do not go according to plan, and dentures are required anyway. In cases such as this, we are at your side to offer you the optimal solution. Be it crowns, bridges or implants, your dentists on the Nordufer focus on highly aesthetic dentures that blend perfectly with your smile and restore the functionality of your teeth at the same time. Dr. Peter Getz is your contact when it comes to technically sound, aesthetically demanding solutions.

Together with aligner therapy, dentures are one of his main treatment areas.

Dentures are the second step in our well-founded concept of three stages for your optimal dental health & aesthetics,” which we take together with you.

Why obtain dentures from ZANH?

  • Expertise and experience: Dr. Peter Getz and the dentists on the Nordufer work with maximum precision and aesthetic skill
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration: By means of regular case conferences within the team, we ensure that all aspects of your treatment are considered from different perspectives.
  • Optimal oral health: The right dentures do not only restore the functionality of your teeth, but also improve your overall oral health.
  • Aesthetic perfection: We focus on natural aesthetics that blend harmoniously with your smile, while optimally supporting your dental function at the same time.
  • Increase in self-esteem: Dentures are not only functional, but also have a positive impact on your self-confidence.

Dentures: fixed and removable

At ZANH, we focus on modern dentures – which are not only functional but also an aesthetically perfect match for you. We use digital technology and precise planning to provide you with tailor-made solutions that fulfil your needs. You can arrive and feel comfortable here with us – we will accompany you through the entire process with great care and expertise

  • A long-lasting solution that is integrated perfectly into your jaw. Be it crowns, bridges or implants – this option ensures the stability and natural function of your teeth.

  • Flexible and individually adaptable. Ideal when the dental conditions or the patient's wishes require a less invasive solution.

  • The decision depends on different factors: the remaining teeth, the amount of bone and the possibility of fitting implants. The periodontal conditions also play a part. Your wishes are also important to us. We take the time to discuss all of options with you and choose the dentures that are right for you.

  • Combined dentures are a versatile solution that combines elements of removable and fixed dentures. This method is often used when there are not enough teeth to anchor a complete fixed set of dentures. Combined dentures can include, for example, telescopic dentures, model cast dentures or removable bridges that are anchored to implants or crowns. Hybrid dentures are a particularly flexible solution, whereby fixed bridges are used in combination with removable dentures. We will find the right solution with you.

  • At ZANH, we focus on choosing the optimal material for you – focussing on aesthetics, functionality and longevity. All-ceramic restorations have numerous advantages. They adapt perfectly to your natural tooth colour, and therefore ensure a harmonious, long-lasting result – for years to come. These materials have a particularly high level of biocompatibility, which means that they are very well accepted by the body and seldom cause unwanted reactions. Another major advantage: Monolithic ceramic restorations are particularly stable and prevent chipping, which is especially important for patients with strong chewing force or bruxism. In this way, you can rely on a solution that is reliable, aesthetic and stable in the long term.

  • ZANH is the right contact for complex implant prosthetics, since we rely on complete digitalization. This does not only reduce the number of treatment steps, but also unnecessary waiting times and casting compounds which some people find unpleasant. From the initial planning step of the implant to the insertion of the finished crown, we work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team. We work closely together and adapt each step individually to achieve the optimal result for you. Dr. Peter Getz can draw on his extensive experience to offer you a precise and long-lasting solution. It is important to us that you benefit not only from high-quality dental technology, but also from an extensive network of experts throughout the entire process. This allows us to call on experienced surgeons, dental technicians and physiotherapists if needed – all to make your implant treatment as smooth and efficient as possible.

  • A bite lift is particularly required in cases of severe bite depression – e.g. because of abrasion, tooth grinding over a long period of time or enamel disorders and severe erosion. Restoring the correct bite position has an enormously positive impact on your dental health: It prevents damage to the mandibular joint, restores the physiological position thereof and protects against further loss of material. It also ensures that your face no longer has a sunken appearance, the lip profile is regained and your teeth regain their natural, harmonious shape. A relaxed jaw muscle and protection against hypersensitivity are also other advantages of bite elevation.

For bite elevation, we first try out the new bite situation. This is done using special splints, table tops or long-term provisionals in which the new bite height is tested. Only after you have accepted the new bite position and tested it over a period of time will it be converted into the final denture. This ensures that not only the aesthetics are perfectly coordinated, but also the functionality.

  • The dentists on the Nordufer primarily use ceramic and gold for inlays, onlays and partial crowns. The choice of material depends on various factors, such as the position of the tooth and the forces that are acting there, potential mandibular joint problems and also aesthetic considerations. It is also particularly important how the inlay or onlay integrates harmoniously into the overall appearance of your teeth. Of course, we also take your material preferences into consideration. Inlays, onlays and partial crowns not only have aesthetic advantages compared to large composite fillings, but also in terms of the long-term survival rate of the tooth: the stable materials mean that fewer interventions are required in the future. This means that the tooth lasts for longer, and the need for future treatment is significantly reduced – a long-term functional and aesthetic solution for you.

  • Veneers are a minimally invasive way of correcting misaligned teeth while preserving the tooth structure.

The optimal candidates for veneers are patients with minor tooth misalignments or gaps in the front teeth area following orthodontic treatment such as aligner therapy. Veneers are also used for patients who still have minimal irregularities in the position of their teeth after a bite lift in order to preserve the natural tooth substance.

Veneers make it possible to choose a particularly natural colour, since the thin material makes it easier to match the colour to the natural tooth. For us, it is essential that veneers do not only fulfil aesthetic aspects, but are always in functional harmony with the teeth. The planning is always based on functionality in order to ensure that the veneers remain stable over the long term, and that no damage occurs due to chewing stress. Because a beautiful smile is only valuable if it is also functionally perfect.

  • Composite bondings are an excellent solution for small defects such as carious lesions, chipped corners, minimal chips or gaps between teeth. We can quickly achieve excellent aesthetic results that are both functionally and visually impressive with a minimal amount of effort. The advantages of composite bondings lie in the aesthetics and durability. Thanks to our high-quality materials and precise workmanship, we can fulfil even the highest aesthetic demands.

FAQs

Why doesn't my supplementary insurance cover all costs?

It depends on the tariff which has been chosen and the extent of the treatment. Supplementary insurance companies decide for themselves whether or not to pay for individual items. We bill the patient irrespective of their insurance status with the supplementary insurance. Insurance companies usually cover the majority of treatment costs if you have taken out an appropriate insurance policy, but this should always be clarified in detail beforehand. This applies to all types of insurance (statutory, private, supplementary).
